Pablos is a consistent cafe, while it is a good blend (and it should be said that any worthwhile coffee is good as a double ristretto) the standard is a little inconsistent, depending on who is on the machine, Sundays are particularly good at the moment, especially as most north shore cafe are shut down on Sundays.
As mentioned, the food is simple, but provides a good, quick and works well with the beverages and the location.
They are also turning into a great gallery space, with new art every month.
Ciao Down has a great familial atmosphere brought about by a large communal table that occupies the majority of the floor space. This is aided by the coffee machine being out in the open, allowing owner Samantha to carry on conversations with patrons while making coffee.
The food is fresh, high quality and and goof value. The coffee is of a high standard, even though Samantha cannot manage a rosetta to save her life.
Ciao Down is a great spot on a barren stretch of the highway.
This is a lovely cafe on the dingy side of Hornsby. They have a great set up, good menu and consistently good service.
While they may not be using the worlds\' best coffee, or have a world champion barrista, their coffe is tasty and consistent, and over breakfast, what more can you ask?
