Happy cafe. Great selection of cakes. My muesli biscuit (really a flapjack the size of a cupcake) was very tasty.
Coffee was a little bland with the milk being a little overstretched and too hot.
I'd say it is good and would be happy to go again, but I wouldn't travel far to come here for the coffee.
But only one visit so far and nobody pulls perfect coffees every time.
Awesome site. Obviously hired a smart architect. I really liked the location and fitout.
Huge windows with stools so you can sit and watch the traffic and people go by.
No newspapers, so bring your own entertainment.
Service was a little patchy. It took ages to make a few coffees. It seemed like we were interrupting their day. But I think this is just the teething troubles of setting up and getting a crew working together and having fun together.
The food was limited on the day I came as they are re-doing their sandwich preparation etc. But, the raspberry muffin I had was tough and fairly ...
I agree with Clarinetman.
I dipped into Browns on the way back from picking up a new tamper etc from Coffee Hit (espresso accessories and machine supplier that has a tiny warehouse around the corner).
I had a great Flat White made with Square Mile Summer Blend. They also seemed to have Stumptown and a few other specialty coffees available from time to time.
The Flat White was small with a strong crema on top of the microfoam. For a late afternoon coffee it was perfect as it needs to punch through the built up flavours of the day.
Food was limited at 3pm, but everything looked good. I ha...
I came with moderate expectations and left with them reinforced. Sacred Cafe is having a great stab at producing a good cafe, but just needs a little boost to get it into the premiere league.
Location: great for Carnaby St or escaping across Regent St from Mayfair. Perfect for people watching.
Food: looked like decent ciabattas and liked that they had a spinach and cheese muffin. Muffins are not cupcakes. And on another note, "tights aren't pants" (trousers for the locals).
Staff: young, enthusiastic, personable
Coffee: my flatwhite was suitably strong, but a tad bitter for my liking. It...
In the great Mitte district with up and coming galleries, a short walk from Tachelles and the rest of alternative Berlin on Orienburgerstrasse is a cafe straight out of East London or Melbourne.
They're passionate about their coffee and offer a range of espresso, pour over and siphon.
I've now tried their Flat White, Americano, Espresso, Latte, Cappuccino, Espresso Macchiato and their iced pour over.
All good.
At the time they were using two different beans from Square Mile.
The iced pour over was the most ritualistic. 180ml of water poured over 23grams of coffee dripping onto 180 grams o...
Very chilled. I could wile away many hours here.
A good spot for that casual work catch-up coffee.
Absolutely love it being on Leather Lane so I can have a pre lunch coffee while I stand in line or a burrito at Daddy Donkey and ten come back for more afterwards.
My flatwhite was excellent. Creamy without becoming watery or overbearing with the creaminess. Strong without smacking you in the mouth with heavy espresso roast flavours. Quite nutty actually.
The rare roast beef sandwich was worth travelling or too.
Quite a good range of homemade cakes and snacky bits that the regulars were ...
Great contemporary modern space.
Our Short Latte was indeed rich and creamy. Strong without being overpowering. They even managed to do all that with a decaf (I gave up caffeine for Lent). Decaf is a variable beast. I think just because it is not the coffee that the barrista dials in first thing.
So the atmosphere was sleek and good.
The service was friendly.
The coffee was strong rich and creamy.
The cinnamon bun hot, sweet an very cinnamony.
The gravalox on rye with a little pickle and mustard sauce was delicious and perfect for those with less of a sweet tooth.
Next time I'm going to...
Great space.
Friendly staff.
Lovely coffee (square mile beans).
Slightly limited food options, but all looked good.
Really liked sitting a a table user the skylight.
Felt comfortable to stay as long as I liked, but skipped out to go almost next door to the Building Centre.
I've put this in my favourites.
