Coffee was very nice, thick with a good layer of beautiful crema. Ever so slightly acidic, but very pleasant nonetheless.
2 Ristrettos, 2 Piccolos
Serious coffee venue. Friendly& knowledgeable staff. Very short ristretto. Sweet. Latte was very pleasant. One of the blends got washed out a lot by the milk. Pourover clean and crisp. Cakes and sandwiches quite good.

Its difficult to get so far up the back passage and still return. Slow service, I get it. Weigh everything.. ok But to what end. The coffee is good, but remember you are serving coffee, to real people.
5 Flat Whites
I must agree with other reviews here as this place sets the standard for coffee in London!
I visited this place few times and was lucky enough to be served by the owner Gwilym Davies (2009 World Barista Champion) and James Bailey (one of top 5 UK barista 2012)....you can't ask for... Read more

What can I say? Prufrock on Leather Lane is the benchmark for quality, consistency and innovation in London. To be frank, I didn't really 'get' Prufrock on my first few visits, but it has now become a place that I can't live without, despite the distance from where I live. I put this down to the... New challenger to Department of Coffee and Social Affairs, this is the second Prufrock in London serving up consistently awesome coffee
Chased down this spot after a quick bean hunt on a cold day. The reviews do it justice. Great coffee nice atmosphere, staff were friendly though brief as it was busy. Hard to spot from outside, as the name is written on the bollard. I'll certainly be back
Still the standard - a must visit for coffeegeeks.
1 Espresso, 2 Piccolos, 2 Flat Whites, 1 Pour Over
The best cafe in London. The coffee is exceptional. Everyone is friendly. On weekends it's spacious and relaxed. On Sundays you might hear a string quartet practising in the basement.
2 Flat Whites
Can't really add anything to what's been said already but this must be the best coffee in London. They've come a long way since Whitecross Street days but haven't lost anything in transit. Simply the best.
5 Flat Whites, 5 Long Macchiatos
Consistently superb coffee. The 6 ounce is the best flat white/latte I've had anywhere (in the world). Friendly staff, good banana bread, real chilled café.
No surprises that this place is outstanding given whom they have running it! Outstanding coffee, a fantastic (and unusually large) space; wi-fi and plenty of space to sit and work if you want.
5 Flat Whites, 1 Cold Drip, 1 Pour Over, 2 Espressos, 2 Lattes
Finally got away from my fave Flat White and this is so good great space, nice to hear classical music mixed up coffee on the money just the attention to detail prints on t/a cups, sandwiches beautifully wrapped up with string, mellow vibe sat in for a while and a great experience G-Man
Excellent Flat White. One of the best establishments in London.
I've been here a few times. I used to frequent Glwylim's coffee cart in Whitecross St when I was a stuent at the Guildhall School. I was very happy to discover his cafe Prufrock opened near my teacher's place. Whenever I'm in town to work with him, I pay a visit here.
The coffee is... Read more

I visited this cafe several times during a visit to London. Exceptionally well made espresso. The baristas are very friendly and great to chat to.
after checking out the top 10 of the independent coffee shops in london, i finally made it to Prufock.
the team were really open to talk about their beans, brew styles and a little of their take on the 'science' of coffee.
i really digged the attitude and knowledge. i... Read more
