Hmmm, very disappointed in my first visit. The flat white was lacking any distinct flavours. Will have to try their other shop.
Heard a lot about Monmouth but couldn't understand what went wrong.... It seems like the place became a tourist trap... The line is too long, the attitude of the employees is rude, and the worst - there is nothing distinctive about their coffee...

Have been wanting to visit here for a while and it didn\'t disappoint. Very cool atmosphere; even better coffee! My espresso mac was very good - thick and rich crema and bold flavour.
I once again found myself in the area and needing coffee. It was a little quieter than usual (there were actually free seats!), but still quite a queue for coffee.
My cappuccino's froth was again perfectly on the mark. The coffee. I didn't love it as much as the first time. It was... Read more

I love Monmouth Coffee! These guys are roasters and artisans of this fine drink and best of all the position in Covent Gardens makes it an easy stop during a busy day of shopping. The service was fast and efficient and although I didn’t have time to sit back and enjoy table service my takeaway... Read more
Easily the best coffee stop in covent garden. Perfect coffee every time and the small wooden booth seating area (with a no mobile phone policy!) is a great place to hide away and read a book. A must even if you are only in London for a few days!
Totally awesome! Love everything about it!
Wicked.. This place is like William in a city of Charles'.. a royal flush.. a diamond in the rough.. do yourself a favour peasants.. Check it out
Perfect in every way
Another visit and another good coffee....

I just loved this little place. I watched the barista make me my coffee in the open kitchen plan style layout. Lovely wooden booths, yummy pastries. But the highlight was the perfect latte, full of well balanced flavor and perfectly spun milk. Well worth the visit.
Around borough market there's a frenzy that's worth contending with when you need an excellent coffee, and I have to say the service only adds to the pleasure. Top notch.
The best coffee in London. Tough getting a table - be prepared to share! However this place is really setting the standard in Ol London Town. Love it!
I had a latte here once that was practically a religious experience - slightly sweet with a hint of caramel and so smooth that it just slipped down. Sadly, that barista left years ago to be a dj in Spain, but Monmouth is still excellent and a must whenever you find yourself in London. Great place... Read more

This is some of the best coffee I have ever had. Worth going back to London for.
The best there is!
This is coffee mecca. The place is minimally done up, and all the focus is on the coffee. Which is easily the best in London I say. The range of single origin beans available is mind-blowing, and priced reasonably enough. The seating was quite limited in numbers, but the great coffee more than... Read more

Wow, what a stunning pearl in the heart of bustling London! Adam's review says it all. I would definitely travel for this pour. Don't bother ordering a "skinny".... all coffee made with organic full fat milk, a nice touch.

The original and still one of the best. Staff are universally helpful and friendly and the coffee is always spot on. Inside is a bit more spacious since the recent refurb but I prefer to sit outside on the bench and watch Covent Garden people pass while I drink my delicious coffee.

I like this place. Where do they get such lovely staff? It's a joy to queue for take away drooling over the pastries you haven't yet tried. Warm friendly and stylish interior. For my money - the best take away coffee in the area.

We were in London for the Olympics and I had read an online review of the Monmouth, so we searched it out. It was relatively easy to get to and once there we found it to be a fairly small establishment which was attracting a reasonable take away queue. Inside seating was limited and we found... Read more

Wonderful place.
The coffee is beyond reproach. Easily the best in London and incredibly reasonably priced too. Their Espresso is perfection and their Macchiatos are just right (a little bit milky but ultimately robust).

The Daddy of the Antipodean London coffee revolution. Huge selection of beans on offer. You know that coffee fiend friend you have that is always going on about that single estate Guatemalan brew where the beans are eaten by Lamas, and the Lama’s poo containing the beans is in turn eaten by...
