It's like this place dropped out of Tom ford's not-a-biography-biopic-set-in-another-era A Single Man. Sophisticated and cool, ignore the staff's advice if you feel dubious about the drip coffee fad & try a beautifully crema-erized espresso.
Customs is prefect. It feels like a hug from an old friend (that you didn't realise you missed that much until you were in the embrace) that doesn't last too long. By far the best espresso I've had in Wellington. Pulled just right, a well roasted Ethiopian blend. Nice place.
One of the only cafes where you can genuinely say the staff really know what they're doing. Stop in and have a chat to them - they love talking about coffee. While their espresso is lovely, I think the non-pressurized brews are what makes this place really stand out.
