I've been to Artisan several times and mostly go with friends because it's a decent place to have a chat. As for its white coffee, it's only ever been disappointing. I had a chat with the owner who is originally from New Zealand (not Australia as most people seem to tell me) a while back, and he... Read more

I've had a short black of Sumatran Mandheling, which is strong earthy, notes of roasted nuts and thick body. Never expected such a taste but interesting. This guys know their coffees and setting was a bit dark in the corner but fine for me. This is probably one of the most interesting coffee places... Read more

Love the coffee here! Go to their other branch at Bangsar Village if you are looking for more sitting places.

Piccolo latte was sweet with brown sugar tones. Great milk flavor and texture rare in KL. great latte coffee spot.

Great ambiance, service and coffee. Difficult to fault the place on these criteria. It's a bold move having an outdoor cafe in such a hot and monsoon prone climate, but it actually works really well. This is about as far removed from the mall cafes typical of Kuala Lumpur as it's possible to get.... Read more

It was once my favourite place to get my cup of latte, until it's HQ opened in PJ. I am really satisfied with their stellar cup of full bodied and perfect acidity latte.

Artisan Roast is, to my mind, still one of the great pioneers of Malaysian coffee culture. They just seem to be doing everything right. Their coffee is always great and you can count on them using only freshly roasted, single-origin beans. They have a wide selection of coffee drinks and preparation... Read more

Coffee is brilliant and it seems that that is all they do. Single origin Mandheling as espresso, who would've thought? But it works and with beautiful crema too. Milk was perfectly textured and art was the icing on the cake. In a country where the only types of coffee you could get are condensed... Read more

Great latte and heavenly cheese cake. Could be a little cozier but the coffee makes up for it.

Brilliant smooth, rich and flavourful coffee in a busy neighbourhood cafe setting. Great service. Great people.
