Great coffee, good food, great service, passionate in coffee.
Best cafe in Kowloon if not the whole of Hong Kong. Huge variety of coffees to choose from. Nicely done pourovers in front of customers. Bit hard to find now with the whole building covered up with scaffolds. Pleasant staff who are passionate about what they are doing. Great place!
The store is clean and fresh having just opened not long ago, very sparse and trendy looking store. They roast their own beans and pump out the best coffee I have ever had in Hong Kong with an sexy expresso machines. Had Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte and Hand Drip here and all were perfect... 1 Espresso, 1 Pour Over, 1 Latte
Wandering through Sheung Wan today, this place caught my eye. On a little side street, tucked away, is a little slice of coffeegeek paradise. This place has only been open for two weeks, but it will go far. Don't come here expecting anything other than coffee, expertly made.

Great little place where it's all about the coffee. Friendly person working there and happy to have a conversation. Had an espresso, single origin from Columbia. Full of flavour. Excellent.
Located in the overcrowded district of Mongkok, this cafe is often lauded as an oasis of a slower pace. But wow this cafe is messy. The thousand poorly organised bits and pieces clutter and clump along the counter behind the bar. Furthermore, the long cheap laminate bar making up most of the... Read more
Visited this shop shortly after it opened and it was neat place, co-located with a clothing boutique. The neighbourhood is great, and the vibe is chilled out and down to earth.
The barista was very helpful and chatty, probably catering to a fairly wonky crowd. Luckily the coffee was... Read more

Obnoxious and deathly slow, this place is damn lucky it does a good job of the coffee. It can be a little hot but the coffee is beautiful.
Except. Except. Except.
If I want sugar in my coffee, I'll have it. I don't need someone telling me I can't because it might dent... Read more
Best coffee in town. Little eccentric and you need time. It is the place to go for enjoying a well made coffee made by a passionate owner. Some of the brewing methods used remind me of a laboratory or chemistry lesson and some will find this off putting.
Average coffee, has potential but it needs to step up. The coffee beans aren't that strong and doesn't have a distinctive flavour. The latte was too milky on both visits. Not bad for a coffee on the go when you're near the area but I have definitely had better. The food is also average, a bit... Read more
finally a half decent espresso bar in Hong Kong. highly recommended.
Knockbox is a special coffee experience. Located in an out-of-the-way area of Central, this small space should be a coffee aficionado's destination. Owner/Barista Patrick and barista Jonathan could not be more accommodating and instructive about all things coffee.

Everything is kind of messy in here but you see the potential. Signage everywhere, but you don't know where to order, pay first? Menu at the door menu at the cashier. Messy rags on the espresso machine. I agree with other reviewers, this is good coffee for MK district.
I'm not sure... Read more

This has always been one of my favorite coffee shops in town. If you are a specialty coffee enthusiast, you would find this place worth going.
To be frank, unlike Sheung Wan, Mongkok is such a lousy area to me. Fortunately, however, this hidden universe strikes a big contrast to the... Read more

Coffee:
Hand drip coffee is my first priority here. Lycello is my favorite with rich fruit, balanced acidity.
Service:
The baristas are not only brewing coffees here. They like to share the background information, characteristics of the coffee bean.

This is a valuable coffee house if you are beginner to gourmet coffee. The baristas are friendly, they know how to tell and ask by using interesting story-telling. In the conversion they will give out a lot of coffee knowledge and keep refresh your memories about how the coffee come from. With... Read more

A very nice coffee shop located in Mong Kok.It is quite difficult to find a place like this in Hong Kong now. Firstly, talk about the environment , overall it was quite tidy and clean, not just the front of the shop even behind the bar table the coffee bean is stored carefully and tidy in some... Read more

The location is not typical of the hustle of Mongkok. It is quietly nestled on a side street and the shop offers a respite from the crazy speed of HK. Once inside, it looks and feels like a calm artisan coffee house with the owner Patrick attending to clients on holidays and weekends. He is a... Read more

Always my favorite coffee place in Hong Kong. It's the place for you to relax and enjoy a great cup of coffee with passion, not just a rush dose of caffeine. They just moved to a new location which is bigger and more convenient for most people.

I'm a huge fan of the coffee at Knockbox however it's quirky and can be slow at times. Don't be put off and hopefully you'll agree what's in the cup is worth the quirk. It's also more third wave less aussie style/lighter on the milk.
Note - as of 8 Aug 2012, they've moved to a... Read more
5 Espressos, 5 Flat Whites, 5 Ristrettos, 2 Pour Overs, 5 Piccolos
Being a barista I'm empathetic to the young Barista who got criticized for only for being passionate. Sugar in specialty coffee? Yeah sure, who can laugh at the tasteless who adds soda to Lafite 82? Customer is always right. We learn to talk less when the audience is only after caffeine.
Exceptional flat white made by a very inspired barista who knows alot. These guys are unlike what I have seen in the west favoring a heavily modified expobar (top secret) over the la marzocco on the counter beside it. Great place
Best in HK so far. Very knowledgable and they offered some beans not on menu (Koppi-Sweden). Amazing! Would like to see them sell while beans though.
The shop gives you a full range of choice on how you want your coffee made from pourover, to espresso, even newer items like the Coava Kone. They're constantly serving new beans so I always get to try new coffee when I drop by. And every time I'm there I feel like I'm getting a free coffee lesson... Read more
