Average, yet consistent coffee, good food, terrible service! In fact the service was so bad that it took a chef to come out of the kitchen so we could order our coffees..for a Tuesday mid-morning one would think four wait staff could handle a few tables.
Like • Share • ReportI live locally, and only go to this cafe as it is easy to get to and opens at 6.30am, though I only go under absolute duress. I have to write this bad review because the service is so truly appalling. Every time I have been there I have been treated as though my order is a hassle. The staff don't even make eye contact! I always get the feeling that my custom is not wanted, do they really hate us all? The coffee may have been good once, but now that there is really great coffee out there it just doesn't stack up, and the bad attitude makes for a bad start to the day.

While the reputation here is good, the attitude, ego and inability to serve customers means this place is no longer worth the effort.
Staff are rude, when positioning you on a table, only to forget about you, even after you ask where you are meant to order. No Water glasses on tables, and despite three or four reminders staff still have not come over to take you order.
When we did finally order from the bar itself, the rude staff member, maybe compensating for forgetting about you for fifteen minutes and after three reassurances she would take your order, still forgets water for the table....
Overall good venue for a lunch pide. Coffee is consistent and well made but doesn\'t blow your socks off. Granitas (when available) are great on a hot day. Seating is sparse and if you like a large takeaway coffee forget about it. They only do one size - regular.
Like • Share • ReportGenerally fantastic coffee - depending of who's driving the machine. Can be a little inconsistent so perhaps one for locals who get the benefit of regularity to up the average... Love the simple menu of all day pides. Not much for brekky but toast with raspberry grappa jam more than hits the spot. Great friendly vibe outside with the endless stream of prams and puppies, or chill out inside and dig the awesome hip hop funk streaming out of the iPod. Enjoying the mural much more these days too!

The atmosphere here is great -- lots of little nooks and crannies to sit in, and there's the hustle and bustle outside as well.
The menu is a little bare -- no eggs or bacon or anything that way inclined. The pides are good though. Not quite sure I wanted one for breakfast though!
The service is friendly, but a little forgetful and really quite slow. It took quite a while for out coffees to come, and even longer for the food.
The coffees were strange. All the lattes I saw were completely different. Mine was OK, but there were coffee grounds all over the saucer.
I wouldn't be rushin...
