After much searching along Burgandy St, "Vyve" ticked most of my boxes, boxes I didn't know I had till Heidelberg; it does NOT have a tv, it has eftpos, open (that helps), and most importantly serving Atomica coffee gave it the potential for the coffee to be good, fair trade organic, or at least low pesticide. And they use Bonsoy!
In the end the coffee was fine. Not the best not the worst.
My eggs where also good, (albeit a bit over done- scam should be bed-rare!) mushrooms awesome.
i stopped in last week and gave vyve another go. much better coffee this time. the milk wasn't too hot. but it was still missing a little flavor. maybe i'm just too used to the best in the city?
Amazingly good coffee. Always extremely friendly staff and great atmosphere. For once a place in the area that doesn’t burn the beans !!
The food is great too, very gourmet breakfast - not good for hangover though as they use very crusty bread (hard to chew when feeling a little under the weather, but otherwise fantastic)
I have to agree that this place sells great coffee. I dropped in for a mid week mid morning latte and wasn't disapointed. Decided to go back on Sunday for lunch. On both occassions the scene was quiet and relaxed. My burger for lunch was top notch. Can't wait to try something from the breakfast menu. Banana and coconut bread has caught my eye.
