Vans is reliable but a bit ho hum. They do a good business without doing anything especially well and all at Napoleon St prices. Coffee is acceptable (I go every week coz the gang do) but nothing special. It is a great location though and very central for meeting.

Good breakfasts here. Good atmosphere. Average coffee.
Been here a few times, but a while ago, so thought I'd give it another go (for Beanhunter's sake).
My Long Mac 3/4 topped-up was more 1 3/4 topped up, in a tall very scratched glass, average flavour. I never used to be this picky, but beanhunter is helping with that!
I'd be back for a breakfast, occasionally, but if just for coffee, round here I'd head elsewhere.
fantastic food, very consistent. ive never liked the coffee though, its burnt more times than not.. i would definitely not classify it as quality coffee. great atmosphere though. service can be good or bad, inconsistent in this respect. when its good, its great, when its bad, you dont get served for 45mins (true story!).
Like • Share • ReportProbably one of the most consistent cafe experiences in Perth. The coffee is always excellent, food and service good. There are better food places and more intriguing decores to be found, but you always know what you are going to get at Vans...very reliable, great coffee.
