This place is a nice little cafe / restaurant / bar. The service was what's to be expected.

My cappuccino was good. Not spectacular, but it went down nicely.

I like the decor and atmosphere. The window seating with big cushions is great.

Supreme coffee - very smooth. Since my favorite barista left to join the Sensory Lab team two talented youngsters have stepped up to fill his big morning shift shoes. The atmosphere in this place is sensational. It's warm and inviting, well lit and has great acoustics. The food here is always great. My favourites include Roti omlette for breakfasts, beef murtabak for lunch, and whole baby snapper, steamed flounder, beef rendang or green mango kingfish for dinner. Prices are very reasonable and the service is friendly and efficient. I love this place.

I ended up there taking a break from shopping for retro clothing in the area.

Mild coffee with well textured milk. They were very busy with breakfast which looked good from afar. Cool tunes but not too loud to impede conversation.

Three of us decided to check out Tom Phat two weeks ago based on some glowing reviews of their food and coffee. We were not disappointed.

Situated right in the heart of a very bustling Sydney Rd., Tom Phat is a little goldmine amongst the retro stylee and savers stores. When we arrived it was extremely busy and had to wait for a table on the couches at the front of the cafe. This took no longer than 5 mins and were soon seated and perusing the menu.

The food is fantastic here. Inventive gourmet breakfasts, and what looked and smelled to be delicious Thai lunch dishes on the adjacent tab...

I Stumbled across this lovely little restaurant on my holiday down there. I was the only person there (do to it being insanely early in the morning) but that didn't stop the personality of the place coming through. A simple mix of, simple little tables, good papers, well made coffee's and amazing food helped me get the earthy vibe of this place. Highly recommended.
