On a pedestrian-busy stretch of road, Thrive stands out from a lot of the rubbish around it. I'd come straight from Palace Cinemas Espresso Bar, 61 Petrie Terrace, which was tripe, so my standards were quite low. I stopped at Thrive, though I was heading for Naked and Frisky Goat, because I'd seen it mentioned (and highly regarded) on Beanhunter.com, but I'm afraid that, in my eyes at least, it didn't live up to the reviews.

I loved this cafe. Was truly the best I have ever been too and I have been to a few. Just new to Brissie, I walked past this place just past the Transit Centre. The girls were sooo friendly but not familier, and the coffee and food was fresh and delicious. Set up as grab and go concept, the service was ultra fast. Apparently a family owned and run cafe, so you can certainly see the difference. Well done guys, it's nice to see something a little unique in such a competitive market.

Here you find a team consisiting of 3 sisters, the atmosphere is one of warmth, laughter and even cheekiness. With a family history in the food industry, and the ever expanding menu is constantly changing to acccomodate what customers want and ask for. Not only have I had the pleasure of this cafe becoming my daily coffee morning greet, I have also had the girls cater for our office meetings. This is a great place for healthy food and a good coffee to take away. The blend the cafe uses is Abrisca which is a combination of 8 beans from PNG and South Africa -- it is a premium blend. Their beans come from a local roaster at East Brisbane. The coffee I had had a medium taste with a slight kick.
The service is terrific. The ladies involved have a connection to fruit and vegetable markets so that the food and juices are fresh.

The coffee at Thrive is outstanding and delicious... I actually had my first coffee there and I am in love with it... The staff are friendly, they even remember your name after several visits... The food are delicious and healthy.. Easy to grab and go... Highly recommend to anyone around Roma Steet/ George Street...
