The Veneziano beans are good quality with a bias towards the smooth chocolately flavours that Aussies love.
Flat whites are made properly (with little to no foam) and are the best coffee's you'll get on the west side of Brisbane!
Service is a bit slow — the whole team seems to struggle with the registers.
Still really enjoy going to the Local Bean each week...however even though I'm a local and it's the closest cafe to me at work, I've started travelling a bit further sometimes to get something a little better coffee. The standard of service at The Bean has definitely dropped over the past year, with several awesome staff leaving and not enough staff on the floor during busy times...hence this has led to slow and at times ordinary service. With the many changes in staff over the past 6-12 months the coffee is often inconsistent (often brilliant...but sometimes terrible!). Still worth a visit...

The motto of beanhunter is "coffee worth traveling for" - but this was not! Seems like unless you're a local, you're not really welcome. I went to pay for my flat whites (they were fine) and muffin (a bit raw at the bottom) and although I made eyecontact with the man at the register he continued his convo with a regular for several minutes. Then he seemed annoyed that I didn't know my table number. And I think he was the owner! What a let down.

Thought it was about time I gave these guys a review, two + years I have been visiting The Local Bean, never had a burnt coffee and never bitter. They pour the best coffee this side of the city...
I travel alot with work and struggle to find a better restaruant/coffee any where.
Keep it up team love your work... 10/10
this place is amazing they know all about their coffee, the espresso bar down the road is always fast and quick if you are on the go and need a beautiful coffee on the way too work. This place is most definately coffee mad and it is definately working for them!
