Great little cafe. It's tiny, but it doesn't need to be any bigger. My flat white was smooth, luscious and very fast and friend's soy flat white was "quite mellow, not bitter and the soy milk wasn't too sweet".
I have to say that my favourite thing about Bird's Nest are the cute stamps on the takeaway cups. A nice personalised touch.
If you're looking for something a little different in South Brisbane, then it's definitely worth paying a flying visit to the owner-operated Birds Nest Coffee & Collectables. You can find a perch inside among the interesting collection of vintage items on sale or outside on one of the few seats scattered around outside of the shop. The coffee is consistently good. They use an 8-bean blend with Ethopian Yirgacheffe as the dominant bean, which produces a beautiful full-bodied flavour.
