Taylor Blend

The first time I went into Taylor Blend a couple of years ago, I was surprised by the passion and friendliness of owner Jos Taylor. It wasn't until my second trip in there a few months later that I knew it was genuine. It is great when you go to a place and are remembered. Every time I go in, he always remembers me and there is always a decent amount of time between visits due to the distance from home.

Situated in Stoneyfell(also known for the winery), at the base of the Adelaide Hills is this small café that gives you the hills feel just out of the city. Taylor Blend is a modern little setup with wifi(not sure if it is free) and a baseball field across the road which could keep you around all day sipping on espresso filled delights. It is always fairly busy with a great atmosphere.
Jos uses his own blend courtesy of beans supplied by local roaster 'Simply Coffee'. The walls are adorned with coffee prints, and grinders and stovetop percolators and other coffee items sit around the store.

For a small cafe there is a fair amount of seating including a booth, and tables and chairs inside and out. I am pretty sure the only coffee served is espresso and this is courtesy of a LaMarzocco Linea paired well with an LM swift grinder. Small amounts of food including cakes and croissants are available to accompany your coffee, but be quick, as it goes fairly quickly on a school day. Jos is also the person to go to if you are looking at purchasing a La Marzocco or Elektra espresso machine as he is a representative for them.

So if you are looking at getting a nice coffee and getting out of the city without getting out of the city, drop by Taylor Blend and enjoy the great outdoors, either inside or out.

Opening hours are 8am-5pm everyday, except Tuesday when Taylor Blend is actually closed.
