Change-of-hands crisis. You can't simply handover the winning recipe. This WAS our stop for the daily coffee run, as it delivered a consistent high quality.... no more.

It seems there has recently been a change of ownership. The coffee has gone downhill significantly, now the coffee is often burned and bitter.

Stax changed hands in the past few weeks. It used to be a regular, rewarding coffee experience with the barista, Nick. Now that he's gone, the coffee has gone downhill (way downhill) and the place is empty. Shame.

It's a bit hit and miss here, but I'll give them points for offering fair trade coffee. You can definitely get better coffee in this area though - the taste is always a bit burnt, and I suspect they leave their grips in the machine so that the grind gets overheated straight away.

Food is tasty and unpretentious, and they actually have a great range of tea. I know, right? Tea. Get on it. Tea.

Missing this place as it was a convenient and much needed stop on the way to work now it is a regularly detour on the way to everywhere. Coffee just perfect and the personalized service makes you feel apart if the family.

I love this little place and have been known to go far out of the way just to drop by. Great coffee - a place where the fair trade blend tastes good (doing justice to ethical beans everywhere!) and a fab place to shelter from rainy Melbourne and read a magazine. The menu is also amazing
