Star Anise

Star Anise is in fact a micro bistro - the coffee (par excellence) is just a tempting starter. A cosy booth on historic Piper St, my first visit was a very impressionable one - it was impossible to not come back again for the beautifully presented and prepared food. Chris is the affable front-of-house man - his wife Emma the masterly chef who has put together a simply stunning menu. If you only try one thing - the desserts are to die for. Perhaps the "Reservoir Dogs' themed dishes are the hint - Mr Pink is an experience one will not forget quickly...
