Probably the only place near North Brighton where you can grab an early morning coffee on the way to the train, but hold off if you can. My experience of the coffee is not good - too strong and often burnt. Fine if you like that sort of thing, but I recommend (when they are open) either Brighton Chocolates or Rupert and The Fig in Bay St over Pod.

Brighton being generally area devoid of anything of interest for me (apart from pod and the arthouse cinema) it's great to have this place around. Otherwise it would be a wasteland of your usual latte sipping soccer mums who care little for the quality of their coffee because it's masked with a litre of sugar and 5 teaspoons of coffee. Whilst they specialise in coffee they also serve a nice range of food on offer, although its the coffee they serve that really makes them stand out.
