ive been here a few times, it is ok--but coffee is about a 7 out of ten--too milky and not that memorable, place is a bit odd feels like its a second hand furniture store at times and with loud acoutics and a small place it just feels slightly uncomfortable.

While walking down Burwood Road (I work around there) I accidently bumped into this quaint little cafe Muharam. The absolutely charming host made my decision to go in so much easier. The rustic interior, cute antique chairs and tables, cool music and the cosy atmosphere both inside and the courtyard outside was so inviting.

The Coffee Supreme latte served up simply divine. Just the right consistency, temperature and strength. I noticed they even have live music on some weekends. A sign board said Chrs Sebastian (the brother of Australian Idol, Guy Sebastian) will be playing on Sunday 31st....

Regardless of the fact this small but warm & friendly cafe is owned and operated by my beautful cousin Sarah (whereby some may consider my review a touch biased) I am quite confident that you will enjoy every part of your experience as you sample their great food, tasty and reliable coffee and occasional live music.

The steak sandwich is my favourite with its fat, hand cut crispy chips and any of the daily soup specials are always great especially as we head further into the depths of our Melbourne winter.

This small cafe is not the run of the mill Hawthorn cafe.

Live jazz music was playing as we went in, and would have been really quite nice to sit down and listen to for a while, as we sipped lattes and watched the day disappear. Sadly, the cafe was full, so we had take-aways.

The service was friendly, and the coffee surprisingly good for such a small place I hadn't heard much about. I shall be returning to this one as it's so close to home.

Thanks beanhunter! Wouldn't have found this place without you.

Visited this lovely little cafe this morn, service was friendly, beautiful jazz was playing and the coffee was very pleasing!

My Latte was very good, smooth, milky, and just pleasant. I'm keen to go again for breakfast, it was just so pleasant!
