Love the Monterey - recommended by a friend as an undiscovered culinary treasure.
Must be Auckland's best coffee and judging by the full tables, no longer undiscovered.!
The food is superb as is, as already mentioned, the coffee and the staff are GENUINELY warm and welcoming. The owners are obviously passionate about what they are doing.! For a relatively small cafe, the menu is extensive and the quality is just excellent. - as for the cakes ( all baked on the premises) try the brioche - surely the best in Auckland ? The atmosphere, unpretentious and welcoming and I can truly recommend the Monterey .10 stars !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Elizabeth

Service was a bit slow considering it was nearly empty at 2pm but it\'s true - the best coffee in the neighbourhood
