Came here with a friend today.
Enjoyed my gingerbread waffles, although they were extremely sweet.
Coffee was tasty. Latte and espresso were both decent.
Service friendly, attentive and far from pretentious.
Bright room and courtyard made for a relaxing atmosphere.
On the precipice of Westgarth and on the cusp of the dreaded Punt Rd, Mixed Business was visited at the behest of my niece: good choice!
Eight of my familia purloined the boxy white and black cafe to be told a 30 minute sojourn was in order: no problem, this place was buzzing and looked the goods. We all ate and drank. My gingerbread waffles were an absolute cracker. My flat white creamy to the lip, soft and buttery on the palate. This is good stuff. Maybe a little busy and noisy but what a joint.
Mixed Business is a fantastic cafe, it's not a specialty coffee house and it doesn't pretend to be. The staff are always friendly, the food is amazing and there really is nothing quite like sitting out the back with a crocheted blanket on your lap on a cold morrning

It's possible the bean is great and the barista totally butchered it. Our strong lattes tasted like the extraction process had been left running for too long, leaving us with a burnt flavour.
The staff were friendly without overdoing it for 8am and the space inside was very pleasant. We didn't try the food.
