Service here is so patchy at best. Last visit three weeks ago we left after waiting 15 mins to just place an order. Nothing has improved since this place opened. Such potential, but obviously poor management. I won't be back

The service is a bit slow here. Don't try before 9am because they don't start serving until after then. Food is ok, but overpriced. Didn't enjoy my last few coffees here - the milk had a funny taste about it.

Great place. Long black was one of the best I've had, strong but sweet and not so over powering as to hide the complexity of the flavours. Lovely croissants. Great music to add to the atmosphere.

My personal favourite. Our regular choice when we're on Brunswick street. French chique atmosphere and high quality coffee. Lovely to sit outside and watch brunswick st do it's thing.

We ordered a strong Cappucino and a skinny Flat White.
We got a normal Cappucino and a slightly strong Latte is a cup.
The fact that is wasn\'t quite what we wanted didn\'t matter though - excellent taste and milk. We ordered again, you should too.

From the outside, Madame Sousou looks like a step back into the upper echelons of French society early 1900 (not that I know what that is).

A pleasant streetside courtyard offers a nice alternative to dining inside.

The service is friendly, but could be a tad faster. If you're in no rush, it's perfect.

The food is rich and tasty. The breakfast Sousou is sure to fill even the greatest of hungers.

The coffee? A truly pleasant surprise. Genovese beans roasted and served with a strong but honey-like overtone. My latte was wonderful.

I highly recommend Madame Sousou.

If you're craving a little French nostalgia, Madame SouSou is the place. A Parisian in the heart of Fitzroy. Great coffee, superb food and an atmosphere to match. The only thing that would make it more French would be if it were all in black and white.
