This cafe was packed, inside and out, why?. Decor, concrete floors, retro laminex table and chair, all in 60's colors. Large alfresco area, over looking the Salmanca Sq. Long row of modern washing machines, (they were all busy!) The answer is partly the above, but also it is, stunningly good Villeno coffee, generous serves of great food. All at very affordable prices. The locals are on to this in large numbers. We choose, Eggs Royal- poached eggs, smoked salmon, spinach, caramelized onion, hollandaise, on toasted sourdough. A reasonable sized cafe/restaurant in a bustling square, machine laundry stands out as the more laid back and funkier option with it's neon signage and retro furniture.
The service is friendly and attentive, and while the coffee is good, this is more of a chill out and have a late breakfast kind of place.
Late was reasonably textured and had a pleasant finish, but didn't blow my socks off.
In any case, a great pick, and great choice for a bite...
