LAMILL was my first coffee stop in the US. It had a good reputation online for both food and coffee, so it sounded like a solid choice for my first brunch in LA.
Venue was a bit over-the-top compared to what I have become accustomed for specialty coffee shops, with bright red walls (and matching Clovers), crocodile skin seats, chandeliers and a large black and white mural on the wall. My guess was that this was very Hollywood-style (although we were actual in the sleepy suburb of Silverlake).

Lamill serves up some fantastic coffee. They roast their own beans fresh on site and have some of the best looking equipment I have seen; a shiny gold La Marzocco machine takes center piece alongside a couple of Mazzer grinders. They also have a couple of Clovers running as well. I ordered a Flat white and took a seat on one of their green crocodile skin club chairs, very L.A. I didnt have to wait long before I was served my coffee which was a real delight being full of flavour leaving a fantastic almost nougat flavour lingering in my mouth.
