No idea where the original barista has gone (thought he was the owner) but they have a new man in town and he's no good! Coffee's never been amazing but it's that harsh full flavour that gives you a real pick-me-up in the mornings and what they lacked in quality they always made up in service!
One of the worst salads I've had in a while. I requested no salad dressing as I don't like oily food. I asked for vinegar on the side. Just about the only fresh item in the salad was the lettuce. Also, when I asked for salt and pepper, it turned out there is only one set in the restaurant! I was given the use of it briefly, then it was promptly taken away to the food preparation area. Same with the bottle of vi...
This café is one of those cafes that I return to not for the staff or coffee but purely location and convenience

Staff seem to move about the store to much (unnecessarily during service) which creates confusion especially when making payment. As the store space is limited and with staff...
As soon as you walk into La Dolce Vita you experience the strong aroma of their coffee. I think you notice the aroma compared to other coffee shops as it is very unique. The latte I had wasn't creamy but rather the milk was aerated too violently. The coffee was reasonably good. This cafe is obviously popular as during the 15 minutes or so I was there, a lot of customers were coming in for takeaways.
