Coffee was perfect. Perfectly extracted double ristretto with good light texture in a flat white. (I was happy to hear them say 'all our coffees are double ristrettos' - a very positive indicator.)
Service was actually the best I've experienced in Melbourne - truly friendly, gregarious and warm. Nothing false about it. Gave me a hat to sit outside. Explained the menu to me twice with not a hint of frustration. They're now the benchmark for service.

Whilst the coffee was decent / above average (Drinkable without sugar), I was most shocked at trying to get my breakfast here for the first time with my coffee. I thought raison toast/fruit loaf would go down well with the coffee. The large coffee was $3.50 which is very reasonable. I pulled $9 out of my pocket to pay for the coffee and the serving of fruit loaf only to be told it wasnt enough... the fruit loaf serving was $6.50 lol.
