We heard so much about this old world establishment and wanted to visit. Situated in the Block arcade - amongst amazing architecture - we felt like we were time warped back to the 1800's. The large antique mirror situated in the back of the business - is a talking point and everyone wants a picture there. The waitress greeted us with a smile - showed us to our table and spoke to us - what was on order. A good selection of cold and warm meals with the sandwiches being the focal point of the menu. The new owner also owns Quarter Cafe if DeGraves Street and has brought quality coffee and service to the tea rooms.
If you like your decor "old world chic" then stay in a drink while the world whizzes by on Collins Street. T
The coffee is excellent and the staff friendly and happy.
