Very cruisy vibe with great and friendly staff. Coffee inconsistent but potential for a great coffee if you're willing to come back. First one not so good but second one fantastic! Menu is great fun with a lot of tasty classics!

Been meaning to come here for ages - it exceeded my expectations. Had a long black and then their 'coffee flight' - an espresso, piccolo latte, and short macchiato, I think, each with a different single origin or blend. All were expertly made - the latte almost converted me back to milk-based coffee! I personally think a blend will beat a single origin for depth of flavour, any day of the week, but come and see (taste) for yourself. These folk take coffee seriously, though with a lightness of heart, and that is to be treasured.

Have been visiting Foxy Brown regularly for quite some time now and I thought it was high time I send some kudos their way. I get around the melbourne coffee scene, never wanting to rest on my laurels, I am always looking around for a new place to try, after all Melbourne is so blessed with quality cafés. I think that I have a fairly good idea of what constitutes a good coffee. I don't discriminate - I take my coffee how it is best enjoyed - with milk or without. Remember, variety is the spice of life. So, in my humble opinion, Foxy Brown Espresso are top for taste, both in terms of their foo...

Foxy Brown was on my "coffee crawl" list when I spent three and a half days drinking coffee all over Melbourne during October 2010.

It was furthest from the CBD (where I was staying) and I had to catch a train for what seemed forever but in reality was probably only 30 minutes (I'm not a regular public transport user).
My impression that I was on the other side of the black stump was reinforced by the lack of fencing beside the railway tracks as I walked towards Foxy Brown ( was I really that far from civilisation or is it a Victorian thing?).

I'd timed my trip to coincide with lunch as...

Went there for breakfast with friends this morning and have to say a smile came to my face as soon as I saw the place, such a warm neighbourly feel to the place.
Was greeted with a smile and an offer for a coffee straight up had a latte to start off and saw that they used non homogonised milk the taste was sensational beautiful in flavor but could have been a bit warmer. The short black that followed was sweet and crisp almost perfect I must say and the food was amazing as well will definitely go back.

Perfect start to a Saturday morning - a barista that knows everything and aims to please with shots that always fire. Real gem of the inner northern suburbs that i cant wait to get back to and whose praises I sing to anyone who asks.

First magic was spot on, partly maybe due (in addition to the perfect double ristretto) to a premium milk that he described as the best money can buy. Then he followed up with a complementary single origin for each of us - just because he could tell we were there to enjoy ourselves. What a nice guy! And it was great!

Loved the quiet ambience - but I was the...

Went there on a pleasant weekday, very nice place.

Really good espresso, very friendly staff.

Nice mix of seats and settings, nice couch out the front.

Nice place to get a coffee after a nice quite gentle ride.

Beans by small independent roaster.

Environmentally responsible.
