Brand new fitout is looking very Melbourne. Lots of cool grey, warm wood and a graffed La Marzzoco coffee machine makes the New First Pour look sleek and serious. A big change from the original look. Though I must say; where's the psychedelic wallpaper gone?
Marechi sorted me out with a nice single origin from Brazil, I can't remember the exact name but it was a Cup of Exellence and it was excellent! Dessert in a cup.
Had a Bond St chaser as a latte and it cut through the milk well but maintained a smooth finish. They have 250 gram bags to take home, which is way better than the kilo b...
The brilliantly consistent great coffee is what keeps me coming back. The location is off the beaten track, amongst the big brick sheds of the Carlton & United Brewery, and parking is limited. Staff are often distracted by the constant flow of staff associated with the onsite roasting and distribution business but pay plenty of attention to the coffee. Make the effort to find First Pour, the coffee more than compensates for the difficulty.

Atmosphere was OK, Veneziano coffee was OK but not the oasis I was hoping for. I was the only customer there and somehow still had to wait about 15 minutes to eventually get my first espresso, so I immediately ordered a cafe latte before I had even tried it (maybe thats their marketing plan...order your second while your waiting for your first)....also I have to say the way the barista was fingering the grind in the group head was a little weird. C'est la vie

The cafe is part of the Veneziano roasting facility and is dedicated to showcasing the coffee. They do not offer an extensive range of food but some simple snacks are available. The service is always excellent with friendly, helpful staff who have good knowledge and are willing to offer any advice if asked. Some of the best coffee Melbourne has to offer.
