Had heard about this place on the grapevine and I was glad to track it down today. Amidst the hustle and bustle of the covered Brixton Village Market, sitting proudly on the corner (used to be a couple of shops down, but moved now to more prominent shop - not next to fish shop aforementioned in other review). There is seating outside as well as a number of tables inside. The bar was full of delicious looking homemade cakes etc, on which I can vouch for the Anzacs and friands. I also had the corn fritters served with bacon, chutney and Harissa yoghurt. It was excellent, and great value!
Anyway...
After having a little trouble finding it (it\'s inside the VILLAGE market) I was more than impressed with Federation Coffee. It\'s an airy little place with a nice friendly vibe and good coffee. I had 2 flat whites which were served very quickly indeed as well as a toasted croissant. Lovely! As is often the case in good coffee shops in the UK, there\'s the accent of a kiwi behind the counter. Nothing wrong with that at all!
