Simply amazing coffee! My ristretto was spicy but still very smooth and the piccolo was amazingly sweet and chocolatey! I love the dark moody atmosphere of this cafe. Glad to have a pd session in the city today and experience this place.
A must to check out if doing a Melbourne coffee crawl.
Definetly the best place that I've been for coffee in Melbourne so far ( I have been to more then half of the big names) Jamie & Kiril bring there own style to town... A bit of what they've learnt in Melbourne a bit of Euro and a bit of Sydney ( Paul Geshos) The set out is my personal favourite in Melbourne.. Its not overdramatic, and it gives the most appropriate description of ' Espresso Bar' Yes there are some Multi- Million Dollar set ups which are to die for that I love.. But there size description heads more in the direction of cafe... The Ristretto I recieved was a full bodied highly ar...

I will go back, time after time.

It's right up at the top with Brother Baba Budan, 65 degrees and Sensory Lab on the grid (and others off the grid)
Coffee's perfect - every takeaway (small, anyway) is a double ristretto so you can taste it, and they'll make sure every shot is good. The baristas win regional awards in coffee and in latte art.
Nost places are just functional, but cafes like Eclipse have natural cool. I kind of hate wearing a suit there. It's an experience more than just java that has people queueing up out the door every morning.
No loyalty card because they build ...
I love this little "underground" cafe with no signage and an easy to miss front door onto Flinders Lane.
The staff are passionate about coffee and know the intricate details of the individual farms and roasts. Milk coffee is served not very hot, so ask if you like it hot.
I took home a 250gr bag of 'Chunky Monkey' beans, which at $15.50 was quite pricey, but deelish!
Very popular with the lawyer crowd from Rialto Tower in the mornings.
Nice spot :)
I work very close to Eclipse (entry off flinders lane) so have visited many times.
I do enjoy the coffee, it\'s got a lot of flavour and not bitter. I generally drink skinny lattes, cappuccinos or short macchiatos.
Service is generally quick.
Staff do tend to have a little attitude.
My main beef is the price, $3.30 for a take away, when you bring your own cup. And no loyalty scheme.
Seeing I have 8 - 10 coffees a week, the price difference of about 50c each cup, adds up!
