Dose (Christchurch)

Visited Dose post-quakes a few weeks ago -- still using locally roaster coffee from Lyttleton, and their decor is just gorgeous -- a homely and trendy corner. Best of all, their coffee rocks. Looking at their machine as we entered the cafe, I completely second-guessed their coffee making skills, but boy was I disproven. They delivered a piccolo at a beautiful temperature, with a thin crema, and an even, strong and smooth consistency. Best of all -- they use delicious local bread, and they put together a killer breakfast.

Lovely airy space, great food served nicely. Ok coffee, but then I did let it get cold due to awesomeness of lightly toasted roll w salami, pesto etc etc. Flooring, tables and art are pretty special.
