Why?
That was my question upon leaving. This coffee hut oozes 'cool' to the point where I wondered if perhaps there should be a roller coaster styled sign out front which stipulates that 'you must be THIS hip to enter the store'.
The reality is that whoever is behind the wheel here is a marketing genius. All the right material is presented in order to keep up appearances. This place almost literally squeals "We are so pro at coffee!". You can see that the rad service staff have a wee camera attached to their gleaming machine to capture the coffee making process. "Gee Whiz! What dedication!"...
Loved this place, with the morning papers out and screens above Barista's head showing technique, from the dose to the texture. The guys were friendly and the PnG was smooth rich and perfectly extracted. I didn't only know this by taste but from watching it pour on the screens. Could have been made a little hotter for the freezing morning takeaway but overall if on Toorak road/Chapple street area its worth a visit.

When Danny is on the tools he still pulls one of the best coffees around. Food is always consistent and well priced. I'll miss this place when I begin work in South Melbourne area.
Dropped in this morning, thought I would explore this unknown sanctuary.
walked in to find the very interesting use of cameras to display the technique of the Barista. I made sure I watched intensly to make sure my shot of Papua New Guinea was pouring to my satisfaction. And it surely was! One of the smoothest beautiful lattes I have had. Although a lid was placed on my takeaway cup the latte art came out in full form, and for no other picture than a heart. The boys must have sensed my need for some coffee lovin'.
As i sat outside, it made me so mad to look across the busy street and see D...
I went into Crue this morning and needed a fix of espresso and the guys there did not disappoint. I started with a Papua New Guinea single origin that as the Barista explained will hit you like a Chuck Norris round house to the head. It was awesome! Punchy with no bitter aftertaste. I then had a strong latte which used there house blend that was perfect. Again no bitterness and beautifully textured.
The guys are passionate about there coffee, great at it. (and cute too)
I'll be back tomorrow...
This place came rated well and was close so we checked it out.
I got a cappuccino and the froth on top was flawless. It was actually perfect. The coffee beneath wasn't good though. I don't know what it was about it, but it just didn't go down well. Unfortunate.
The atmosphere was ok, but a bit bland. That was probably because it was early in the morning though and had only just opened.
