Really disappointed. Was hoping the coffee to be impressive considering the Veneziano connection, but this was not the case. I didn't want to write this review, and even returned numerous times to see if I simply got the barista on a bad day. But both the blend and single origins which I ordered in a regular-sized latte were bland and left a sour aftertaste in my mouth.
I want to give these guys a good rating, and I hope they do improve - but I won't be returning in the near future, especially when I can get a good coffee at Naked.
Stopped by coffee hit this week as I work near by and a friend of mine told me to check it out! Firstly, I find it hard to understand why it takes 10 minutes to get a coffee when you are the only customer!
As I was waiting I was chatting with the staff member and she was telling me that their beans are roasted by coffee hit's other store in Melbourne. Well the beans in the grinder looked very dark so I guess expected a more robust flavor for my latte, sadly it was more a charcoal ash flavor which to me was reminiscent of a large international franchise store that has not done so well down u...
Despite the recent bad publicity about soaring temperatures in the Square, this coffee shop is doing some great coffee. One of Australia's best barista's (in my opinion), Darwin Frame, is currently here and will make you some of the best coffee you will ever have.
Have also tasted some desserts and they're sweet as well. The savoury food looks awesome. But the important thing - the coffee, is excellent.
This quick coffee stop recently popped up in King George Square in Brisbane city.
Great coffee. Roasted by Coffee Hit in Melbourne and pulled through a pair of La Marzocco GB5's. They run a blend and a single origin daily.
Being an outdoor cafe, there's no reprise from the heat, but that's a small price to pay for coffee piece of mind.
Check it out if you're shopping on queen.
