Ordered my Latte strong and hot, based on previous reviews saying that the brew was weak and not so warm. Results were full bodied and delicious (though more like a standard rather than a strong, hot).
Loved the grinding on demand, though the rapid and continuous flicking of the dosing handle can grate after a while. Why not just wait until the correct dose has been ground, then flick 3 times?
All in all, an enjoyable coffee experience.
Fantastic coffee. Can't go wrong with the Tobys estate coffee and the team work hard to perfect each cup. I've never had a bad cup and despite Bering busy in the morning the queue is moved in minutes and they still remember what I have.
I haven't quite got them to have my cap ready and waiting for me each morning but I'm working on it
I’ve been frequenting this café for the best part of a year now and I’ve never been disappointed. Thumbs up to Marius and Luis for making their customers feel very welcome – and remembering not only their names, but their coffees too.
My little slice of paradise in the city. My sanctuary from the office and my colleagues! A great hideout in the basement. But then again, who could resist sitting out in the courtyard on a clear, sunny day – as if sipping a coffee at a little café on the edge of a European piazza.
And great coffee too…
I just hope my colleagues don’t find o...
It only takes one visit to this little gem tucked away at the back of St James Church, to become a "regular royalty". The excellent staff not only remember your face, they remember the coffee you drink. They make you feel as if you are the only customer in the cafe.
Marius and Luiz are very passionate and committed to educating the community in the joys of great coffee
I've never had anything less than a brilliant coffee there. Just sensational quality.
Arguably one of the best-kept coffee secrets in Sydney. Tucked away at the back of St James Church, and operating from a stainless steel cart, the guys here know how to belt out a decent espresso and how keep their customers coming back for more.
It's not the best coffee in town by any means (despite using Toby's Estate beans), but it's reliable; brilliantly-prepared; fast; and you're served by people who love what they do. The little shortbread or biscotti they place on the top of each takeaway is a nice touch.
No - it's not all biblical. You don't have to pray before you get your fix. ...
