I've been to CERES a few times and it's always a bit crazy. Plenty of hippies and all sorts out enjoying the gardens and such.
I got a cappuccino here a little while ago. To be honest I can't really remember it, other than that is seemed fairly average. This time though it was great. I don't know what's changed, but it was great. The froth was fairly good and the coffee was delicious. Not the best I've had, but it was good.
The food looked good, but also pricey so I didn't have any.
The atmosphere is pretty good. Not to cosy, but great on a sunny day.
Came one busy Saturday and was taken aback by the amazing sense of a farm in inner Melbourne. Who would have guessed this place existed!!!
Be careful when looking for this cafe: there\'s a coffee shop at the fruit/veg market which has hideous service, a decent atmosphere and great grind but terrible milk. This is not the cafe people are reviewing here! Oops on my behalf.
The ceres cafe is a much bigger joint with a great (although pricey) menu. The atmosphere is a little busy to truly relax, but nice nonetheless.
The service is friendly, but meals/coffees do take considerable time to come...
Hello summer.. hello Ceres!
this cafe is just divine in summer. I had the pleasure of going to a festival at Ceres to see my friends band play.. The best bit about it was having a late breakie outside at the Ceres cafe!
It's Ceres so the coffee is Fair Trade which is a good thing.. and to top it off tasted great also! The service was a little slow, but it was probably one of their busier days for the year. I really want to go back to this one.. but i think i'll have to wait till it heats up some more..
Ceres truly is an oasis in the city. Sitting on the verandah of the cafe, you feel like you have been plucked out of Melbourne and onto a farm. The menu has clear markings next to all items to indicate whether the food is organic, vegan, gluten free or wheat free.
The atmosphere is very relaxed and bohemian, there is no rush to finish your coffee and leave, just relax and enjoy your time.
The coffee served is from local roaster Coffee Supreme.
