Since my first visit to caffenatics QV, the quality of coffee has varied. In the past few months the quality of coffee has risen back to where it was 18 months ago. The atmosphere is quite good considering it's location in qv's attempt at creating a Melbourne lane way. Generally a fairly decent and consistent coffee location.

My review would have been much better if I had written after the first time I visited and before the second time. The first time, the coffee was super, the second time the 3/4 Latte I ordered looked like a messed up Long Machiatto, it was over-extracted and there was far too much bitterness in whatever Veneziano blend they were using. Disappointing stuff for a cafe with an excellent reputation normally. But the first coffee *was* super...

Stumbled across this one while taking a shortcut through QV on the way to Melbourne Central. I have been to the other Cafenatics around town and had been happy with my coffee, so gave this one a go. Double ristretto was damn good and my girlfriend was happy with her takeaway latte, but I didn't have the time to try it for myself. Great interior. Will definitely stop by again, to give it a proper try. Great to see a quality venue opening up in QV.
