Cafe Noir is a welcome break from the high gloss cafe\'s on Banhnhofstrasse. It is a place to bring your soul mate to drink their weekly roasted coffee. Even at 8 am, the mood is set aptly by classic jazz and a faint scent of beans. A must for the weary and jaded traveller.

What an amazing little cafe! You can miss it very easily, but worth the walk from the main train station (HB) away from the main city centre. Where to start... Really comfortable with a wonderful atmosphere. The barista is very friendly and knows her locals. Quite small inside and feels like a great little neighbourhood local.

The Birchermüesli I had was fantastic (speaking of which, it seems to be getting popular in Australian cafes - I just wish they would learn how to make it properly like the originators - the Swiss - sorry slight excursus!), but of course it's really about the cof...
