Bagatelles, to be frank, is pretty terrible. Many moons ago it was better than bearable but it has since slid into lazy ignominy, no doubt relying on passing trade to keep going.
As the previous reviewer said, the staff are slow and self-obsessed and if you're really lucky you'll get to hear the proprietor berating his staff for making a rubbish coffee then go ahead and make a worse one himself.
The coffee is awful, the food a spectacular endorsement for for every other cafe on the strip, including the almost-as-risible Rathdowne Street Food Store. The atmosphere is tense inside and crow...

On recommendation from a friend I stopped in at Cafe Bagatelles on Rathdowne Street to drink coffee, eat breakfast and do some writing. Upon walking in I was ignored by the staff and although the cafe was not even half full, finding a seat was difficult as the tables and chairs were so tightly jammed together. There was terrible elevator music playing and there wasn't enough air flowing resulting in a very stuffy vibe.
