I've reviewed Brother before, I had been quite impressed on other visits as far as coffee is concerned, but saying that there has been a few times now where I have been left feeling disappointed. This has prompted me to re-evaluate my prior review and post another.
I have worked in hospitality for over 10years now and feel that I am quite fair when considering feedback. I don't feel that my expectations are too high and I do take many factors into consideration before posting feedback.

Having worked in the Brisbane specialty coffee industry for a few years now I think I have a pretty good idea about coffee and making it well. I also am generally fair in my reviews and in light of a good product can overlook a few other things.....
I went to Brother and received some of the worst service I have ever received in a cafe. The dude who served me was arrogant, stuck up, had no idea and screwed up my order.... Went to brother on wednesday morning. Ordered a piccolo and an espresso. The piccolo was well made however it took a while to come out and was hotter than I prefer. The espresso came more promptly, it was the seasonal blend and quite tasty. The staff were competant. They weren't the most friendly though. Would go back for a quick espresso but not for a daily or a sitdown coffee.

Awesome cafe tucked away in Margaret Street. Consistently excellent coffee, really friendly staff, great service... what else could you ask for!
Haven't been for a while but now the boys are roasting their own coffee taking the experience to the next level!
The red head barrista is fantastic (made the best coffee I\'ve ever had when he was working somewhere else). The coffee is sometimes a 10, with rich caramel and chocolate flavours. Occassionally it\'ll be a bit watery, but fairly consistent these days.
The atmosphere is excellent. Lots of buzz.
The service is great for the most part but sometimes can be a bit slow. Worth the wait in my books.
