No wonder there's always a horde of people spilling out onto the footpath here. The coffee is fantastic, food great and the service unbelievable. The staff are so quick and efficient, it can become a bit of a blur inside. This place is on the corner of the busy Gardeners Road, but inside, even though it can seem frenetic, you feel you could be anywhere.

Gotta love this place - though if you can find a time of day when there's not a line outside the store, you're damn lucky. Brilliant breads, pastries, pies - and fortunately the coffee lives up to the same standard.

Pastries - sweet or savoury are to die for. Coffees can be a hit or miss, it really depends on the barista. Have had an incident where I've had to send my soy latte back for a proper one.

A small, bustling cafe, almost always overwhelmed with demand — only rarely will you find it without a line running out the door, even on a rainy day... but it's always worth the wait.

As much as it's famed for its pastries and breads, the Bourke St Bakery can also provide an excellent coffee.

Be prepared to wait a while due to its popularity, but the popularity is well deserved and you won't be disappointed.
