This was probably the most disappointing stop on my journey through Neutral Bay's coffee scene.
For a place that only does coffee you would expect a decent cup, but my take away dbl ris 3/4 fw was so harsh it was borderline undrinkable.
It's a shame the passion that goes into roasting the beans isn't shared by the baristas.
Their La Marzocco looks impressive, but comparing to 3 other cafés nearby with the same setup, their take away just as disappointing as 'Charbucks'.
So I went to buy 150gms of the Bay Roast house blend to try it at home with my Giotto, and result are much better and drinkable. This means the barista did not do the job right.
As compared to the baristas working at Forsyth's at Naremburn, they make a more rewarding and drinkable coffee from an Expobar machine, then the crew at Bay coffee using a Linea.
Two Thumbs down.
There are swankier places. And certainly there are wankier places. But the Long Black from this little roaster was superb, The deep crema appearance didn't disappoint, and the mouthcoating aftertaste left me thinking "That was a great cup of coffee" for quite some time. Place to go {if I can find a park}.

Tried a couple of the beans at home. The roaster's blend is good but my favourite is the Colombian Organic. Sweet, chocolaty finish and consistently great.
I do agree with the previous Reviewer that looks can be deceiving. Ordered a flat white and it was on the verge of unDrinkable. Service wasn't too bad on that day. But if they are trying to sell Beans with a coffee like that... I don't think so!
