Barter Books is a very famous establishment located in beautiful Alnwick. Whilst not a cafe per se, there is a little cafe inside the (huge) bookshop in which you can drink and dine. The old waiting room (was a train station) complete with fire place roaring, is simply wonderful. The coffee is slight less wonderful, but is just ok. The food is quite good.
