Barmerlo George St

Before a recent relocation to albert st, i used to get my coffee from here, each time i was provided with great service and a quality coffee, i felt the quality often varied though, some days great and others just satisfactory.

I would reccomend this coffee to anyone in the area!

Have visited several times now. This cafe really pumps, good coffee, great service, fun atmosphere and a team that recognise and remember both names and coffees. Have enjoyed their 3-4pm flip for free and with lines out the door, two baristas on a three group wega, two staff serving and floor staff pumping it's a sight to see.

This cafe is my ‘local’ and I’m a loyal customer. The coffee is consistently good or excellent and the service is very good. The staff remember regular customers and their welcome increases the incentive to return.

The layout is slightly confusing. The cafe is long and narrow with the main entrance at the sharp end, facing George St. There is a side entrance from the foyer of the Hitachi Building (where barmerlo is located) and during busy times it isn’t clear which entrance to queue from. The George St entrance is usually the best bet.

This Barmerlo cafe serves a private blend which is a classic three continent, six bean blend. The coffee has a very rich velvety texture. It is designed to be drunk with milk as the vast majority of customers at Barmerlo George St drink coffee with milk. Every month you can sample a different single origin bean. For example this month it is Colombian.

This is a very popular coffee shop which serves good food and coffee and caters to the business and legal community. It is a good spot for conversation and meeting with other professional people, friends etc for a great coffee.
