I reckon this is one of the best places to experience/enjoy Campos (brand) coffee in Sydney CBD. Located in the busy MLC Centre, but away from the madness of the food court, it's a great place to chill out in the CBD and enjoy a good coffee.
You can pick from Campos' house blend or the single-origin specialty of the week. Each and every shot is prepared with care and close attention to detail - regardless of how many people are queuing for their hit. I've tried all my favourite drinks here - short black, double macchiato and flat white - and I'm still waiting for them to make a sub-standard cup of coffee.
Service is generally fast and friendly, but they do have their "off" days. There is plenty of cafe seating, including an outdoor area, but there is no table service - it's strictly order/pay at counter. The food offerings are simple and offer good value for money. Try a 1.5 inch thick (!!) slice of banana bread, takeaway, for $3.50 (at time of writing).
This is one of the places I'll take colleagues, customers and suppliers to for a meeting if I'm in the area. It's not warm/cosy/hip, but nor is it a stifling business atmosphere either. Don't be put off by the the nearby Gucci store, t-shirts and shorts are just as welcome as a suit here.
Recommended.
