Allpress Cafe

Best coffee in Sydney, always busy, always different baristas but somehow the coffee is always at an exceptional level, was surprised to see any negative comments..

Allpress is a funny cafe...... They work hard on an industry image of first class coffee, but I think their coffee could be better.
I asked for a double ristretto and received a funny look so I pointed to the large menu behind the girl at the cash register before receiving a re-assuring smile.
After a reasonably short wait I received a single ristretto. Hmmm.
Putting aside that crappy service my ristretto was ok, although a little bitter for my liking. This was very surprising to me because Allpress get rave reviews from so many of my friends.

Loved the atmosphere in Allpress this morning , my take away coffee was perfect, really smooth and had some chocolaty notes, I have recommended this place to my friends and family,love this place.

One thing I missed the most when I left Sydney was Allpress coffee... I used to head to Allpress every morning on the way to work for a large latte and sour cherry toast with jam. Yum, it's making my mouth watering writing about it. When I am in town I stop by for a coffee and get some to take away with me. Then I can at least pretend! Quick service, great atmosphere, maybe a little noisy, but I love the hustle and bustle of this busy cafe. Service is always prompt and not a burnt coffee in sight!
