After six weeks away on a coffee sampling trip to France and Germany, I just returned to Revolver and had my first lunch there for 2012. This place is great. Rod should give lessons on how to run a good cafe. It's good from every aspect: ambience, quality of staff, food, coffee. If you live in the area, and even if you don't, you should try this place.
Great food, awesome cakes, and my long black comes served with a shot of mineral water.
My favorite cafe, only now it is hard to get a table.
My partner and I love this place, usually enjoy brekkie or lunch here once a week.
Our favourites are the big brekkie, burgers, slow roasted lamb or the daily specials often delight.
I think the owners Mum bakes the desserts, we recently tried the pecan pie and the best vanilla slice I've ever had, yummo.
The coffee is always consistent and I enjoy either a piccolo latte or flat white.
It can be a little busy here so sometimes there may be a short wait, I can assure you it's worth it.
Positives:
- Great Breakfast (had the big breakfast, and it is was one of the best that I have had).
- Good Coffee (Had a latte, then a piccolo).
- Friendly and quick service.
Negatives:
- cramped seating (we sat near the kitchen) and got knocked by a waiter/waitress's elbow.
- coffee could be a bit more consistent (the piccolo was better than the latte).
Fantastic cafe located in a beautifully restored Victorian building with outdoor and indoor seating , great breakfast menu. Staff are super friendly and helpful and the coffee damn good ! Tea served in delicate china cups. Food great . Location in on Annandale Street at the corner of Rose Street. (address and map given above are incorrect)
