Busy take away in crowd with the stress showing on the Barista. I need smiles in the morning.... Fortunately the coffee is good which explains the wait and possible the attention of the barista.
Lately it has been a challenge finding a coffee which has not made me feel the need to pull my eyes out immediately after the first sip. Loco's service had me reaching for my left eyeball before I was even two feet in the door. Call me old fashioned but I l like to take in my surroundings before I order. Kind of like how you put down bog roll on the seat of any given public toilet seat regardless of how clean it may appear. I am therefore not a fan of being approached by a waiter who wants to take my order within moments of entry. Give a cat a moment to think. I was pretty disappointed to disc...
Now this is somewhere worth travelling to. The atmosphere is relaxed, with a retro 60's feel about it. The staff are attentive and polite, but not in your face. The food is lovely, and the coffee exceptionally good. Sweet and smooth, no hint of bitterness, delivered to your table with great efficiency. I usually manage 2 coffees per visit - if I had any more I'd be a gibbering idiot.
Went here for quick coffee with my wife. They are using Di Bella beans and the latte I had was smooth and sweet. No fancy late art but still a very nice coffee. The interior has a nice rustic feel to it with old wooden tables and chairs. Worth a visit if in the area.
Loco Coffee is a quirky independent roaster nestled in a strip otherwise devoid of good coffee. The staff are friendly (and clearly enjoy working there) and service always very prompt. The coffee is generally very good, although it depends somewhat on who's behind the machine. The latte art, though not entirely free-pour is cheeky and a nice touch. The menu has a few nice touches, giving some homage to it's Israeli roots, and delivering solid versions of standard cafe fare.
The atmosphere is also worth a mention, with plenty of character and featuring local artists, changing frequently.
