Grotty little hollow ... both the coffee and the soy chai were too hot and extremely watery. Very unpleasant.
Really love this place. Friendly staff and always a good coffee. For a small place the service is great and the food is yum. Watch out for Friday and Saturday Burger and Beer Night. And you must try the chicken sandwich.
Great coffee, uninviting vibe.
I fell in love with Nineteen Squares after my friend ordered a cappuccino and it came out with melted chocolate on top (they use cocoa flakes instead of powder). It is still the only coffee shop i will order a cappuccino at.
They use coffee supreme and their late art is working and it's not... Read more
I will alter my plans to get my morning takeaway cap here - as mentioned, the choc they use really makes it stand out. Menu is small and of high quality. Only gripe is that they often just completely ignore you when you arrive - takeaway or dine in - so you feel unwelcome and untended.

Coffee wasn't hot enough, maybe it was sitting there for too long, not sure, It had a rich taste though. Food was ok. The whole... Read more
This is a place that I would highly recommend if you are in the area. They don't serve exceptional coffee but they do make a good flat white. Its a sweet little place that is worth visiting.
Very nice coffee and nice food. Warm atmosphere.

The coffee here was not very good and tasted a bit like dirty water, very disappointing after waiting 10 minutes for it.
A great little cafe that serves decent coffee fairly consistently. Great location off the main St Kikda thoroughfare. Perfect location for mild sunny mornings as the outside area gets maximum sunshine. They do some great food considering the size. The chicken sandwich us close to perfect. Just... Read more
Pretty good stuff at Nineteen Squares. Great coffee - Supreme Organic Fair Trade. Their 'world famous' chicken sanga (sandwich) was pretty impressive. Barista was happy to have a chat & seemed to know what was going on around town. Their customers were pretty chatty too. Great cafe, great vibe.
