a perfect start to easter on good friday... burundi espresso and a big breakfast with free range eggs, fresh mushrooms and juicy tomatos, bacon on wholegrain bread. Pure joy. This place looks as though its been vamped up since my last visit. Great spot.
Cool fit out. Nice space. Love the blend, but lacked a little depth with milk. Food was good. Service was hap hazard.

Always liked the vibe of this place - a big room, high ceilings and now another refurb since my last visit. Service has also had a makeover and the coffee was superb.
What a unique place, great vibe Coffee was spot on,

I have only had coffee as always so busy and have to wait to get a table. How lucky are you, not so lucky for me. Coffee is sensational and I am happy to come for takeaway. I am very fussy with my coffee and will not return if coffee is bad. This coffee is consistently one of best I have... Read more

Just had a ristretto in Brazilian San Antonio Estate and it was amazing!!
A warm summer afternoon with a broken grinder, but the Hobba staff remained calm, helpful and apologetic. The food was tasty, after a medium sized wait. My main gripe is their iced coffees were simply a shot of coffee in a latte glass, half a glass of ice cubes, topped up with milk. Either they... Read more
Spotted this joint by chance and stopped in to check things out.
Amazingly friendly, attentive, and helpful staff while maintaining a very cruisey attitude.
The ambience is somewhere between designer cafe, inner city bar, and laid back St Kilda eatery.

This place is great for brekky. Had a solid flat white and long mac here on two separate occasions. The guys behind the machine know what they are doing. Sometimes the waiters think they're cooler than what they are, but they still deliver a great service. Will come back.
Escaped the clutches of chapel st to find Hobba in malvern rd. Open bright and friendly atmosphere. Menu is excellent and the coffee smooth and flavorsome. Well worth a visit.
I always feel like I shouldn't read reviews as I think they moz my experience. Ok staff, the few that were walking around w glazed looks in their eyes too 10 minutes to even acknowledge new custom had walked in. Not good as it wasn't busy. Coffee and mocha when they arrived tasted good if a little... Read more
The service was slow even with heaps of staff and very few The menu is good but portions are small and overpriced. And the coffee... Just okay.
Long Mach not bad but not unbelievable.
The team behind Malvern's Willim Espresso have produced something wonderful, again.
hobba coffee + kitchen, previously a tyre store, has been converted into a spacious and airy warehouse-style cafe that will have its Prahranese locals queueing up for Sunday brunch in no time. The huge space... Read more

This place cares too much about looking good, rather than producing anything worth while.
Really cool space, although I think they must have got a special deal on ply-wood... Overkill? Coffee is tasty, if slightly over extracted, but enjoyable. The custom house blend from 5 senses is chocolatey and buttery with a hint of spice. Beautiful breaky and reasonably priced. My suggestion? A... Read more
Great vibe, coffee and food. Friendly staff and great use of space. Sadly tho the kids section at the back has been removed - so no longer a fun destination for those of us with kids... we'll still come, just wont be as often :(

This cafe is new. I came here with a few friends on a busy Sunday. Ordered some coffee and food as well. Coffee is all right , but not the best I ever had. Luckily my one is better than others cause I've been watching all the coffee that waiter was delivering. Some has got thick foam while others... Read more
Although service (four wait staff managed to lose my cap order) was not perfect, there were a few too many flies and the floor was dirty; the eggs were sensational so creamy. However Is 65 degrees enough to kill salmonella? The answer is yes.
accidentally stumbled upon this one today while driving on Malvern rd. COOL COOL place , busy with young locals and families. Great atmosphere, Both lunch and coffee were amazing, and so was the service. We need more places like that.

Great takeaway coffee, will definitely be heading back to try the food.
I have mixed views on this place. Coffee has been OK, but inconsistent. Service is poor and the staff think they are way too cool for school.
Sensational small flat white today! Lovely wait staff.
